Alice will lead you through a flow of yoga poses to soften, strengthen and align the body and the mind. Whether restorative yoga, or a yoga Vinyasa, you will breathe, connect and live every asana (pose).
In a slow Vinyasa flow classes, fluidity provides the breath the opportunity to inspire every asana (pose), which can guide us towards a lightness, ease of movement and strength. The simple act of deep listening allows us to rediscover how our body would like to be supported, move and spiral.
Restorative yoga allows the whole body to breathe, ease, and be nurtured through settling into a supported pose with piles of bolsters. Deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, restorative asana open the door to the power of listening to the body. This releasing form of yoga provides time to help calm the overworked nervous system from modern day lives, anxiety, and many injuries.
Yoga nidra allows us to lie down in comfort to be taken on a guided meditation. This mediation allows us to inquire deep into our own internal mystery across all states of consciousness (waking & sleeping). Alice follows the iRest inquiry protocol to both develop her own practice and teaching. There is a tendency to come out of these sessions feeling rested and settled within.
Whichever the class, it is lead by the softness of Alice's storytelling voice. Her sureness of intent makes you feel wrapped and held. Out of this comes a gentleness of spirit full of words to guide you through your body and flow.
Alice has lived and worked in North Norfolk, London, Hanoi and Kampala with an insatiable love of culture and inspiration. Throughout the madness, yoga - however infrequent - was a place of calm, strength and community. Intensive training over the years with Donna Farhi, Aki Omori, James Reeves, Jean Hall and Mimi Kuo-Deemer has held her through self discovery, stillness and balance both through continually developing her own self practice and its influence in her teaching. Alice’s current focus is on the power of deep listening to the body, through breath, stillness and fluidity.
Alice now lives in North Norfolk for a permanent place of calm, strength and community, and wherever possible practices with the grass between her toes.

"Alice brings joyfulness to yoga teaching, her classes are fun, friendly and energising, she is an inspiration to me and my yoga practice. Thank you Alice." Gemma, North Norfolk "Alice's warmth and enthusiasm for yoga radiates from her. Her classes are invariably uplifting and have helped me to strengthen my body and spirit." Hannah, North Norfolk "Alice is a truly compassionate teacher with a focus firmly on her students, encouraging us to move, stretch and open in ways that really feel good for our own bodies. Alice's dry sense of humour keeps everything from becoming over earnest, and I always leave class with a smile on my face and a spring to my step. I highly recommend her." Alison, London "Before I started regular yoga classes with Alice, I was seeing my cranial osteopath once every 6 weeks with various minor back and neck complaints. I have only been for treatment twice in the last nine months and I give my thanks entirely to Alice as her yoga class has helped to realign and strengthen my back. But more than that, her classes always leave me feeling relaxed and centred, my breathing is deeper and my mind is quiet. Alice's yoga classes have a lovely fluid rhythm. She always has unwavering enthusiasm and a warm welcome. I am so pleased to have found her!" Fen, North Norfolk |
